​Yingtao Guo is a violinist currently pursuing the Doctor of Musical Arts in Violin
Performance at Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University, where he
studies with Todd Phillips. He previously earned both the Bachelor and Master of
Music degrees in Violin Performance from Mannes School of Music, The New
School, studying with Lewis Kaplan and Yibin Li. His early training was at the
Affiliated Middle School of Xinghai Conservatory of Music in Guangzhou with
Jingqiong Wang.
His notable performances include appearing with the Mannes Orchestra at Alice
Tully Hall, Lincoln Center; a guest recital at the Mannes Open Note Festival; and
participation in the Red Rocks Music Festival, where he took masterclasses with
Shmuel Ashkenasi, Thomas Landschoot, David Ehrlich and others. He has also
performed at the Sesto Rocchi Music Festival and presented his Bachelor
graduation solo recital.
He has several years of teaching experience and has taught more than 20 pre-
college violin students.
