Location: PM Music School (Seperate Rehearsal Space TBD)

Audition Required: No, but a recording may be requested for placement depending on enrollment numbers.

Join the inaugural PM Music School Youth Orchestra!

This ensemble gives string students the opportunity to experience the excitement of making music together. Students will develop ensemble skills, musicianship, listening, and performance confidence while preparing repertoire for a final concert. Students of all experience levels are welcome to register. Ensemble placement and instrumentation will be determined after enrollment based on student experience, instrumentation, and the number of participants. Our goal is to create a supportive and rewarding orchestral experience for every musician.

All string students are welcome! No audition is required for initial enrollment. (String Orchestra Only, for wind instruments please see PM Youth Band)

Placement: Ensemble groupings and/or levels will be determined after registration based on the number of students enrolled, instrumentation, experience levels, and overall ensemble balance.

Music: Repertoire will be selected based on the participating students and their musical levels.

Rehearsal & Concert Dates: Final rehearsal and concert scheduling will be determined after enrollment in order to accommodate the availability of participating students and faculty.

Concert: All participating students will have the opportunity to perform in a culminating concert at the conclusion of the session.

No previous ensemble experience is required. Students who are new to group performance are encouraged to join!
